If you are a PUCP professor, you can teach courses in English during the semester and receive financial incentives.
Incentives will be provided for teaching courses in English in the undergraduate faculties (including EE units), graduate schools, and Centrum. These courses* will be taught by a PUCP professor (of any category and dedication). They must be regular courses, whether mandatory or elective, from the curriculum of each unit.
This incentive program offers two benefits: on the one hand, it allows PUCP students to strengthen their knowledge of English and, on the other hand, it promotes the attraction of foreign students who do exchange programs at PUCP (who do not always have a sufficient level of Spanish when they first arrive).
Funding and support: DARI will provide an additional incentive** to the PUCP professor for teaching a regular course in English (16 weeks) of up to 4 credits equivalent to S/. 3500 according to the following table:
Course | Incentive |
---|---|
4 credits | S/. 3500 |
3 credits | S/. 3000 |
2 credits | S/. 2500 |
Additionally, the professor will receive his/her regular fees according to the corresponding rate. The payment of the economic incentive will be made at the end of the cycle, once the course has been implemented.
Application: Interested professors (of any category and dedication) must submit their applications to DARI through this virtual form. The following documentation is required:
Evaluation and selection of applications: A committee made up of representatives from DARI and other PUCP units will evaluate the applications and select the winners.
Closing date for applications: Friday, June 23 at 5:00 p.m.
*It is the responsibility of the PUCP professor to coordinate in a timely manner with the relevant faculty and with his/her academic department the provision for the course that he/she would teach in English.
**This incentive will be paid under the modality of Additional Eventual Remuneration (RAE). The amount scheduled for payment will be subject to the discounts of the pension system (ONP/AFP) and the fifth-category income.
