This is how the PUCP International Awards awards ceremony was experienced!

Last Friday, December 13, the first edition of the PUCP International Awards was held, an event that highlighted the most outstanding achievements in the internationalization of our university community organized by the Academic Office of Institutional Affairs (DARI in spanish).

This important milestone, co-financed by the European Union through the Erasmus+ I-MAT project, was attended by our rector, Dr. Julio del Valle; the academic director, María Antonieta Delgado; and Jonathan Hatwell, ambassador of the European Union in Peru, who actively participated in awarding and recognizing exceptional initiatives.

During the ceremony, innovative projects that promote academic mobility, joint research and cultural exchange were awarded in the following categories:

1. Impactful International Outreach – “GRRIPP: Gender Responsive Resilience and Intersectionality in Policy and Practice” from the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning.
2. Inspiring Intercultural Exchange – “Intercultural Agility at Centrum PUCP” from Centrum PUCP.
3. Outstanding Academic Initiative – “Internationalization Strategy FAD” from the Faculty of Art and Design.
4. Outstanding International Research Project – “Entangling Indigenous Knowledges in Universities” by Claudia Rosas Lauro (Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences)
5. Outstanding International Student Experience – “From student to entrepreneur” by Brik Henrry Meza Pinedo (Faculty of Science and Engineering)
6. PUCP Global Ambassador – “Internationalization of the Master’s Degree in Education: Creating networks” by Alex Oswaldo Sanchez Huarcaya (Faculty of Education)
7. Global Educator Award – “Project Son Sonriendo” by Lyscenia Durazo Córdova (Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning)
8. Innovation in Internationalization – “Intensive English Progam (IEP)” from the Faculty of Law.

These achievements, which were evaluated by an external committee, reflect the transformative impact of internationalization in our University and its commitment to a more global and inclusive education. Learn more about the event in our photo gallery!
