  • This scholarship program is aimed at UNDERGRADUATE students. To see scholarships that can be used to participate in POSTGRADUATE exchange programs, go to this link.
  • This call will coincide with the general calls for exchange programs.
  • When applying for a student mobility program, PUCP students may apply for the Student Mobility Scholarship Program by submitting the required documents.
  • Financial aid will not exceed US$ 5,000 (five thousand dollars) per student.
  • Financial aid will be distributed among students who meet the indicated requirements and who have obtained the first places in a strict order of merit according to their CRAEST. The total number of beneficiaries will depend on the budgetary resources available each year.
  • DARI may determine a list of priority destinations (universities) that will be published at the beginning of each call.
  • Candidates for one-year or double degree programs may access this financial support for only one semester at most.
  • Financial support will not be considered for “short-term” programs, which have a duration equal to or less than 3 months.
  • This scholarship is not compatible with another benefit of the same nature and from outside the university.
  • Students who obtained the student mobility scholarship cannot apply for this benefit again.
  • DARI scholarship can only be awarded for face-to-face exchanges at the host university. If, for various reasons, the exchange is offered in a virtual format, the student will not be able to access the scholarship. If the disbursement has already been made, the money must be reimbursed.
  • The scholarships will be deposited into the student’s account when he or she arrives at the host university.

Requirements

Students who meet the requirements of the student mobility program and who also have a CRAEST of no less than 58 and are in grades 1 or 2 of the tuition scale (for students admitted before 2017-1) or scales G1, G2 and G3 (for students who entered after 2017-1) may apply for the DARI scholarship.

Calls

The call for Student Mobility Grants to travel in the 2025-1 semester has the following dates:

Start: March 18
End: May 2

The results of the call for applications for the Student Mobility Scholarship Programme 2025-1 will be published together with the list of students selected to participate in the exchange programme.

Adjudication process

The process of adjudicating beneficiaries is confidential in all its aspects and will be carried out by a selection committee made up of:

  • The Academic Director of Institutional Affairs, or his representative, who will preside over it.
  • The Head of the Student Mobility Section of the Academic Office of Institutional Affairs.
  • The Coordinator of the Student Mobility Section of the Academic Office of Institutional Affairs.

The adjudication will be ratified by a Rector’s Resolution. Once the list of beneficiary students is validated by the Rector, the DARI will request the General Secretariat to issue the corresponding Rector’s Resolution.

Scholarship delivery procedure

  • The student will provide the Student Mobility Section of DARI with his/her bank account details (according to the format established by the Treasury).
  • Upon arrival at the host university, the student will receive 100% of the total amount of the scholarship awarded.
  • Requests for the delivery of the money corresponding to the scholarship will be made by means of a letter to the Administration and Finance Department, with reference to the corresponding rectoral resolution

The award will be ratified by a Rector’s Resolution. Once the list of beneficiary students is validated by the Rector, the DARI will request the General Secretariat to issue the corresponding Rector’s Resolution.

Recipient of financial aid

Students who are granted financial aid for student mobility obtain rights and benefits, and assume obligations and responsibilities, in accordance with the principles and purposes of the University.

They must follow the instructions of the Student Mobility Section of the DARI, submitting the necessary documents on the stipulated dates and committing to complete the semester or year abroad, as the case may be.

For all this, the student beneficiary of the scholarship will sign the aforementioned letter of commitment that will be delivered to the Student Mobility Section of the DARI. The letter of commitment will establish the coverage and terms of the financial aid, as well as the duties and obligations assumed by the student as beneficiary.

The amount of the financial aid must be used by the student for the expenses of the academic stay that is the reason for the scholarship, without the need to account for the expenses.

Please note: If a student interrupts his or her study period abroad for unjustified reasons, the money received must be reimbursed to the PUCP, which will be done through a charge on the university tuition payment slip.

The DARI scholarship can only be granted for face-to-face exchanges at the host university. If, for various reasons, the exchange is offered in a virtual format, the student will not be able to access the scholarship. If the disbursement has already been made, the money must be reimbursed.

Commitments
