What is the DARI Scholarship?

At the time of applying for the student exchange program, PUCP students who meet the requirements may apply for the Student Mobility Scholarship Program (DARI Scholarship) by submitting the required documents.

  • The financial aid will not exceed US$ 5,000 (five thousand dollars) per student.
  • The financial aid will be distributed among students who meet the specified requirements and who have obtained the highest rankings in a strict merit order based on their GPA. The total number of beneficiaries will depend on the budgetary resources available each year.
  • DARI may establish a list of priority destinations (universities) to be published at the beginning of each call.
  • Candidates for one-year programs or double degree programs may access this financial support for a maximum of one semester only.
  • Financial support will not be considered for short-term programs lasting three months or less.
  • This scholarship is not compatible with any other external benefits of the same nature.
  • Students who have received the student mobility scholarship may not reapply for this benefit.
  • The DARI scholarship can only be granted for in-person exchanges at the host university. If, for various reasons, the exchange is offered in virtual format, the student will not be eligible for the scholarship. If funds have already been disbursed, the money must be reimbursed.
  • The scholarships will be deposited into the student’s account when they arrive at the host university.

Requirements

Students eligible to apply for the DARI scholarship must meet the requirements of the student mobility program, have a CRAEST score of at least 58, and be beneficiaries of a comprehensive PUCP scholarship (such as the Fe y Alegría Comprehensive Scholarship, the R.P. Jorge Dintilhac SS.CC. Comprehensive Scholarship, the Academic Solidarity Encouragement Scholarship – BEAS, or similar). Alternatively, they may be in tuition scales 1 or 2 (for students who entered before 2017-1) or scales G1, G2, and G3 (for students who entered from 2017-1 onwards). This does not apply to the BEA scholarship.

For students applying for DARI Scholarships

Commitment letter
  • The motivation letter for financial aid has no specific format. Students should upload a letter addressed to DARI, explaining the importance of the aid for completing their exchange.

How to Apply for the DARI Scholarship?

PUCP’s internationalization policy is expressed not only through bilateral relationships but also through joint participation in multilateral cooperation spaces offered by inter-university associations. These spaces allow for identifying trends and best management practices that often transcend national borders.
