Erasmus+ is the EU’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe and in partner countries. For the 2021-2027 period, it has a budget of an estimated €26.2 billion. This is almost double the funding of the previous programme for the 2014-2020 period.
With more than 35 years of history, Erasmus+ promotes academic cooperation projects between European and Latin American universities in order to improve the quality of higher education and foster intercultural dialogue and understanding through mobility grants and training and exchange programs at all levels. E+ projects are funded by the European Commission through its Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Culture (EACEA) based in Brussels.
PUCP has participated in several similar projects and is constantly seeking new opportunities for participation. Currently, PUCP participates in the International Credit Mobility (ICM) modality, which directly benefits students, faculty and staff; and in Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) Programs, which comprise institutional activities led by academic or administrative units. Erasmus+ mobilities are compensated.
